Properly installed concrete curbing lasts decades. Unlike plastic edging, it doesn’t shift, crack from UV exposure, or degrade over time. In Georgia’s climate — hot summers and occasional hard freezes — concrete curbing holds up far better than any plastic or metal alternative.
We use proper concrete mixes and control joints to prevent cracking. Georgia’s climate is actually gentler than many northern states where concrete curbing is extremely common. When installed correctly, cracking is rare and typically minor if it occurs at all.
Yes. We carry 8 standard integral colors and can discuss custom staining options. During the free walkthrough Aaron will look at your home’s exterior and existing landscaping and help you pick the color that ties everything together best.
We recommend waiting 24–48 hours before placing mulch against the fresh curbing. The concrete sets quickly but giving it a full day ensures the surface is fully solid before anything touches it.
Essentially none. You can seal it every few years to keep the color vibrant, but it’s completely optional. Unlike plastic edging you’ll never need to reposition it, stake it back down, or replace sections. It just stays put.
